Contributor Access

Sign in to propose changes, earn points, and help curate the map.

Atlas of Memory’s contributor system is designed around transparent proposals. New locations, edits, and removal requests enter review with sources, discussion, and community voting before they are merged into the public atlas.

Preferred Sign In

One account across submissions, votes, and credit.

Google sign-in is the preferred path for the first release so contributors can join quickly and keep a visible reputation profile.

Static prototype note: this screen is UI-only right now, but it’s shaped around OAuth and a persistent contributor profile.

How Reputation Works

1. Submit with evidence Every proposal includes chronology, location, category, text, image sources, and a clear explanation of what should change.
2. Community review People vote and discuss whether the submission is accurate, complete, and appropriate for the atlas.
3. Merge and credit Approved changes earn points, appear in the what’s new feed, and show contributor attribution on the affected article.
